International Travel Expo is coming to town, my fellow Bangloreans! You can thank the Karnataka government for this development. The expo will be held between February 28 and March 2 this year. They say it’s the largest business-to-business event that will feature 400 foreign travel delegates from almost 25 countries. The event will be held at Bangalore International Exhibition Centre.
For those who don’t know what a travel expo is, you’ve got to experience it first, especially people who have been planning a long holiday. Travel expos have hundreds of tourism companies coming together in a crowded venue and they throw attractive travel plans. These are mostly cheap and come with a lot of complimentary goodies.
You get dirt cheap flights, tours on discounts, attractive cruise deals, rail journeys, road trip stuff, and souvenirs from famous places. I remember 3 years back, at a local travel expo, I bought a package of 5 days, 6 nights at Rome, Venice, and Florence. With that, came a free offer to eat at some of the famous restaurants with 60% off (my memory is hazy, need to screen for Alzheimer’s lol).
This three-day event will have more than 1,000 delegates from all around the world. The place will be high on globalization and the bonding of many like-minded wanderlusts. Hope I find some interesting people to share my travel experience, maybe share numbers.
Karnataka International Travel Expo will have a special focus on Karnataka’s tourism. This state does have some awesome places to visit, like Bandipur National Park, Lal Bagh, Coorg, Chikmagalur, Hampi, Mysore Palace, etc. I suggest you visit BIEC. You can easily grab the metro and get down at Nagasandra. The venue is just 2 kms away from the metro stop.
