Professionals in Delhi NCR need more breaks after several studies address their rising stress levels due to overworking. Alok Bhartia doesn’t think that watching movies on your Laptop during weekends will solve that problem. He recommends taking a trip out of the hectic city life, often. Too bad, long excursions are difficult because of the two-day weekend. Why not camp someplace near Delhi, to make the weekend trip feasible? To help, Alok Bhartia suggests 5 camping sites near Delhi that you can visit in your short weekends.
Beachside Adventure Camp, Rishikesh
The white sand and white river rafting! This is an awesome combination for adrenaline junkies. You won’t need a Mountain Dew because you’ll taste the thunder from the intense Gangetic currents. In the morning, you can enjoy sunbathing and at the night, you’ll love stargazing! Rishikesh is about seven hours away from Delhi via road. So pack your bags and leave for Rishikesh on Friday evening!
Damdama Lake Camp, Gurgaon
You’re lucky if you live in Gurgaon. Alok Bhartia found this lake to be unusually beautiful, given that it’s in the national capital region. The Aravali valley surrounds this lake and makes it a perfect picnic spot. Here, you can indulge in various activities, like rock-climbing, ATV rides, zorbing, paintballing and hiking.
Hill Camps, Mussoorie
Mussoorie offers panoramic views of the Deodar covered Himalayan hills. Plus, like Rishikesh, it’s 7 hours away from Delhi. You can raft, trek and valley cross the heck out of the river and hills. Kempty Falls is a must-visit waterfall that is 1364 meters above sea level.
Camp Kyari, Jim Corbett
Jim Corbett is a little less than 300 kilometers away from the Delhi region. Camp Kyari is seated deep inside the Kumaon Jungles, where once man-eater tigers used to prowl. It’s an attractive landscape where you can go for trekking and mountain biking.
Morni Hills, Panchkula
This is the nearest hill you can visit Delhi peeps! Morni Hills feature the breathtaking green Shivalik ranges. Lake Tikkar Taal is just at the foot of the hills and it devises a gorgeous sight. There’s a visit-worthy ancient temple near the lake as well.
